My Story
Hi, I’m Ethan! I’m a senior at Appalachian State University majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Supply Chain Management, currently working as a Customer Account Specialist for CH Robinson, now in my fifth year. My role has given me hands-on experience in problem-solving, customer relations, and supply chain operations, allowing me to develop strong communication skills while navigating the fast-paced world of logistics.
My interest in communication and supply chain management stems from my passion for efficiency, collaboration, and relationship-building. Through my coursework, I’ve gained insight into interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and organizational behavior, all of which have proven invaluable in my work. My supply chain studies complement this by helping me understand transportation logistics, procurement, and global trade dynamics. Together, these disciplines allow me to bridge the gap between strategy, operations, and customer experience.
Outside of work and school, my wife, an Appalachian State alumnae, and I live in Winston-Salem with our cat, Charlotte. I love heading back to Boone whenever I can, especially during football season. When I’m not balancing a full-time job and coursework, you’ll likely find me at sporting events, concerts, or music festivals. I have a deep appreciation for jam bands and bluegrass, and Billy Strings is one of my favorites! I also love to cook, particularly Italian dishes, and enjoy traveling to new places to explore different cultures and cuisines.
